Technically the market has generated as sell but when I look at the indicators, it gives an impression that a sharp reaction is not ruled out as the market is still in a typical sideways zone. The market unfolded flat as expected and in a very typical sideways zone.

Profit booking after a recent solid surge which had propelled the key benchmark indices to 33-months highs on Thursday, 14 October 2010, pulled the market sharply lower today, 15 October 2010. The BSE 30-share Sensex lost 372.59 points or 1.82% to 20,125.05, off 453.40 points from the day's high and up 34.87 points from the day's low. Nifty opened on a positive note at 6,144.70 levels and showed good strength at the opening and Nifty made high at 6,222.10 levels. However, profit booking was seen from day's high and Nifty closed on a flat note at 6,159.45 levels with 16.05 points gains.
On an Intraday basis, the trend deciding level is 6,150. If Nifty shows strength above 6,150 levels, then rally to 6,200/6,250 levels may be seen. If Nifty does not show strength above 6,150 levels, then selling pressure till 6,100/6,050/6,000 levels may also be seen.
